Oh foof.

I have been very absent, have I not? Forgive me. Well, so far...I'm hanging out with Sharebear on Monday, my clothes haven't arrived yet (=.=), and I have yet to think of a decent topic for mix tape. Nothing's been happening this week...nothing I could write on mix tape, at least. Sadness. If anyone reads this in the next hour or so, please suggest something :(
Anyway. I was looking at some notes I had for an old story, and suddenly the name just hit me out of nowhere: Piatri. Goddess of Fire.
So basically there are (were?) ten Gods/Goddesses, all who are master of a specific power. Their powers were manifested in ten Stones/Diamonds of varying sizes/shapes/colors. The Gods' business on Earth was taken care of by winged silver creatures known only as Servants, whose entire purpose in life was to serve their masters. Now I'm not sure where to go with this, but basically the Diamonds get scattered around the Earth and grant the wearer the power of the God/Goddess the Diamond originated from. Either the Gods themselves grant them to the humans for some reason I haven't decided yet, or a Servant becomes angry at their selfishness and steals the Diamonds to give to the humans.
That's not really important, though. There are, repeat, 10 Diamonds and 10 powers...Fire, Life, Ice, Earth, Light, Mind, Sight, Flight, Illusion, and Storm. I'm sure you can guess what powers those are. Obviously they're not as powerful as the Gods themselves, but they still pack a punch, you know. If I'm going with the Gods-gift story, the Possessors of the Stones were meant to be sort of ambassadors between the humans and the Gods, but the Stones ended up being scattered and lost through time.
So, present-day, there are 10 people running around with awesome-cool powers. The Possessor of the First Stone, the Diamond of Fire, is a 17-year-old girl named Mava Harper. Most of her family is dead and she's the heiress to a multi-billion dollar fortune but she lives in a sleepy town in Connecticut. Why? Her psychotic brother is after the Stone, and she feels it's her duty to keep it out of his hands. The Stone was, in this case, a family heirloom that had been passed down for ages but never used. Both Mava and Kane felt drawn to it; Kane because he sensed it's power and wanted it, and Mava because she's the rightful possessor of it. However, it was Mava that their mother showed it's power too, and Mava that retrieved it when her family was murdered. Kane, who is as previously mentioned psychotic, thinks it should go to him since he's the one who would really use it's power, and that Mava stole it from him. He is quite rich, owning half of the fortune, and assembled a small group of baddies to hunt her down, including Jakob Fennerton, who possesses the Diamond of Illusion.
Oh, and there's a Servant called Tyion who is receiving mysterious instructions regarding Mava. He thinks the voice in his head is that of a God's, but it's actually Ryvin Bonaleisi, who possesses the Diamond of Mind, and who may or may not be a baddie/insane.

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. If you think about it it's not really THAT convoluted, (10 people have diamonds that give them powers that other people want...see not complicated) but I can't really think of where to go with it. All I know is that Kane never, ever gets his sister's Diamond. Ever. He barely even comes close. But besides that I don't have much in the way of a plot.
Oh, and I promise that not all the names are craaaaaaaaazy. One of them is named Jessica, see??? Just most of them have crazy names.
